Roll off Trailer
80,000 GVW is the Federal Maximum total weight for trailers in almost all states. Michigan and New York are the main exceptions and with special permits at times other states allow exemptions. Michigan of course allows 6, 7 and 8 axle trailers with GVW of close to 140,000 lbs. and NY allows an annual permit for 102,000 lbs., but as said most all others are 80,000 lbs.
At BENLEE there are two Roll off Trailer products to get this maximum 80,000 lbs. GVW
Conventional-This 80,000 lbs. GVW 40′ Tri axle (three axle) unit is the work horse of the BENLEE product line, with its 4 cyclinders. Think of it as a M1 tank. It has the ability and it can pick up 80,000+ lbs. It is totally illegal to do this and it should never be done. This unit with a steerable third axle can be over permitted in NY State to run 102,000 lbs. GVW. To get this with it three axles it weighs 22,000 lbs.
Bridge Master-This model also comes in a 40′ 80,000 lbs. GVW model which again is the Federal Maximum, yet this model does this with only TWO axles and two cylinders. it is becoming the new Standard in 40′ trailers and it new new work horse of the BENLEE product line. It will only pick up about 60,000 lbs. (WHICH IS ALSO TOTALLY ILLEGAL and should never be done.). Here is the best part though, it is like a armored HUMMER!!! The beauty is that it only weighs about 16,400 lbs, so it weighs 5,600 less and therefore carries alot material in the box!!
These trailers are good to run in Chicago, Texas, North Carolina and in reality, every state.
